back with a vengeance
the bad apple has been discharged (finally)
and we are both getting over the trauma.
internet has been set up at my new place
so i no longer have to be subjected to the whims and fancies
of the unstable network at the gym.
the past weeks have been somewhat eventful.
i will leave out the more boring bits...
was back in seoul at the beginning of july
and spent much time in meong-dong
with a colleague who turned out to be my primary schoolmate.
i've been bumping into many primary school people lately.
anyway, we had a heavy dinner and walked around in meong-dong,
going into many many shops and got a lot of freebies.
we sampled potato chips-on-a-stick from a roadside stall
and spent a great deal on make-up, masks, facial wash...

there was also time to have a krispy kreme.
the thing i like about krispy kreme in seoul,
is that they have the simple, sugar-coated type i can't seem to find anywhere else.

the amazing display of eyeshadow,
and hugeass watermelons sold at the supermarket -
i was very tempted to cart one of them home.
had a four-day course back in sqool after that
and caught up with most of my much-missed batchmates.

stole this collage off wendy's blog heh thanks dear!
jetted off to narita after that
and it felt so good to be back after a year-long hiatus.
took the shuttle bus to the village
and found out that the locals were celebrating some festival.
there were men-pulled floats and people in traditional attire,
a pasar malam and plenty of merrymaking.

we went to the restaurant where i had dinner a year ago,
and the sushi was just as fresh and yummy as i remembered them to be.
back in singapore, gracie, pecked, ah biao and i spent an evening at the night safari!
we ate at the overpriced foodcourt...

and caught up with the night creatures
(many of whom were from india).
the pictures of the animals didn't come out too great though.
we walked about, caught the tram, and watched the performance -
that ginormous snake was kept hidden in a little spot beneath the landing behind us,
and we didn't know until they brought it out midway through the show.

we also saw a zebra crossing:
