zenn bites...

ah hock has given himself and i a self-imposed break from the red cross...it is quite a relief to not have to go there everyday...but kinda miss it too coz it's a fun and fufilling time...but yah, it's nice to have a break and be able to do other stuffs...

what other stuffs? well for one, we are now, together with colin, into LASER SKIRMISH!!!

to the uninitiated, laser skirmish is the latest battle game in town...it's a combination of paintball and laser quest...you get a gun (or what we call, a UNIT), wear a vest with sensors, and run/shoot/hide/crawl/prone/get dirty & sweaty/do whatever you wana do!

you get to choose from 6 different kinds of units - the smaller, lighter range weapons (like a spitfire), the middle range weapons (like the commander) and the largest weapons (m4s or sniper guns)...the units are rather heavy and quite life-like (or so i'm told)...you get to look through high-tech scopes that are actually used by the army...and you get to hunt and kill in an old camp (near dempsey, some old medical camp, sprawling area, full of old, delapitated buildings and foresty vegetation)...alot of places for you to hide and shoot!!!!!!

we tried out some missions yeaterday, and couldn't get enough of it...went home really tired and aching, but satisfied...today was the first day we're open, and even though there weren't many customers coz the word's not really out yet, we had a taste of how things will be...and coz there weren't many customers, WE GOT TO PLAY EVEN MORE! muahahaha

it's long hours in the sun though..but am having fun so far...come JOIN US for a game!!! ($25 an hour, contact me, ah hock, or colin)...

that has been taking up most of my time these days...not to mention some late nights with hock, colin and gang...and there was one night when we had to go back to the red cross to help write more than 1300 receipts that some idiotic company wanted...sheets and sheets of names - we only finished writing and accounting for the money near midnight...what was most annoying?! it was all for rather tiny amounts of money..like some people need receipts for $2 or $5 or, the best - $0.30...RRRAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!

some people are just retarded.

well...am now at terence's place watching soccer with some of the guys...man utd just triumphed over liverpool in a yellow-card-filled match...chealsea playing tottenham now...am annoyed and feeling rather tired...grrr

laser work again tom...i hope there'll be more customers!

oh and 2nd lesson with kentaro on friday went pretty well despite the cold water...he taught me that 'awa-awa' (said with cute japanese slang) means 'blow bubbles' (don't know if i spelt it right or anything..but it's something like that)...had a good time splashing him to get him wet, and he started getting daring and attacking me with big splashes...got him to do some kicking and also to actually put part of his face in water (big success!!!)...looking forward to monday's lesson...need to get more toys though...especially some that sink so he can go lower into the water!
